Today marked a historic milestone for the continent. Vaccines and Biotechnology City (VBC) was honored to participate in the “Achieve Africa” event a high-level side event of the African Union (AU) Summit to officially launch the ACHIEVE Africa initiative.
Represented by our Vice CEO, Dr. Heba Wali, and Strategic Communication Manager, Dr. Rania Mohsen, we witnessed a defining moment: securing top-level political endorsement and commitment from African leaders to prioritize health sovereignty.
The ACHIEVE Africa initiative isn’t just a plan; it’s a pact.
By gaining this political backing, we are clearing the path for:
• R&D Acceleration: Prioritizing the development of Vaccines and Therapeutics right here on African soil a core pillar of VBC’s mission.
• Unified Commitment: Aligning political will with technical expertise to ensure sustainable healthcare infrastructure.
• Health Security: Moving from dependence to self-reliance through local innovation and manufacturing.
At VBC, we are proud to be part of this collective journey. Seeing African leaders commit to the R&D landscape reaffirms our belief that the future of global medicine is being shaped in Africa.
